Community Pickleball Program

 

We are thrilled to announce that our club was able to make a difference and bring pickleball to Escuela Primaria Justo Sierra! 

The teachers and directors were wonderful to deal with, and it was great to have the opportunity to introduce the sport of Pickleball to the kids and the teachers.   

Even with the rainy season upon us, we managed to get to the school on three different occasions and introduced this awesome sport to all students in grades one through six! 

I can't tell you how gratifying it has been to see the smiles on the faces of these children who have never played pickleball before!  The positive feedback from the teachers has also been very encouraging!

 

The hugs, the tugging at our skirts to show off their new skills, the enthusiasm, and the high fives (or as they say in Spanish "chocola"), were a terrific experience - something we will never forget.

They are so sweet, so full of life, so excited, and so polite.  I would say it has been incredibly successful and the majority have had a very good time.  Of course, their attention span is about 10 minutes long so it was important to change up the exercises frequently, which Patty was really good at doing!  

 

I feel so blessed and proud to be part of a club that is giving back to the community we all enjoy!
