Friday Night Ladders

Hey all.

I hope everyone had a great summer!

I am back in Guayabitos and running the Ladders again.

If you are interested or would like to be removed from the mailing list please let me know. I'll update the list.

This year I'll be running it the same way that I did last year.

I will send out the roster email at 3pm on Thursday (January 22,2026) and the first 24 ppl that respond will get in and I will curate a wait list from there.

When I have that player list I will then start to seed the courts.

 Friday morning I will send out court assignments and Partner lists.

If you know of anyone that wants to be added to the list get them to email me at

gpbcfridaynight@gmail.com with their first and last name and skill level(using dupr, not club rating) i will be seeding people using dupr to start.

 We will not be keeping score but the ending courts will be carried over week to week. So as you move up and down the court's your skill will determine where you end up. 

If you don't have a DUPR this will be a great opportunity to advance your partner adaptive skills.

Ladders are not for everyone. We play continuously in a respectful competitive environment. We will have a brief break at about 4 pm but otherwise when the courts are clear you move courts.

I will send out the procedures with the court assignments and we will walk through them on Friday night.

Its Great to be back and I can't wait to see all the fantastic play.

I can only do a general placement if you give me some random club rating so if you don't know your DUPR I will do my best to place you but it will be up to you to advance from a lower court.
