Safety and facility update

📣 Important Safety & Facility Update from Board Volunteer, Shelley Dingreville.

​A huge thank you to all our volunteers—collectors, hosts, and maintenance workers—who keep our courts running smoothly! As we transition to our 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM shift, please take note of the following safety and closing procedures:

​🛒 The Red Safety Cart

​Deployment: Even with the single shift, the red cart (containing all first aid equipment, and collectors stuff) must be brought out every morning.

​Closing Up: The cart should remain court-side as long as players are present( preferably as long several courts are still playing).

​Handing Off: If you brought the cart out but need to leave before play has ended, please delegate the lock-up to another member who has access to the bodega.

​Volunteers Needed: If you are a host, collector, or maintenance worker—who is staying past 9:30 AM, please take the initiative to volunteer to return the cart and lock the bathrooms.

​🚑 Emergency Preparedness

​To ensure everyone’s safety in the event of an accident, we highly recommend the following:

​Emergency Forms: Please ensure your emergency contact form is filled out correctly and visibly attached to your pickleball bag.

​Passport Photocopies: Recent feedback suggests some local hospitals require a physical photocopy of your passport for their records. We recommend keeping a copy in your bag to avoid delays or the hassle of finding a copier during an emergency.
